This home that was in ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ recently sold for $1.25 million after being on the market for more than four years.

There have been some developments with regards to some of the most famous homes in Chicago, including Oprah Winfrey’s condo at the Water Tower Residences and the home made famous in the 1980’s classic comedy “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

According to Chicagonow.com, Winfrey recently listed her condo at 180 E. Pearson for $7.75 million. The residence actually consists of three different units that Winfrey combined into a single condo. There are five bedrooms, five full baths and two half baths and 9,625 square-feet of living space. There are also two kitchens.

MLS describes Winfrey’s condo as having “breathtaking lake and city views…in one of Chicago’s premiere buildings..”

As for the famous home from “Ferris Bueller,” which was was the site of the garage scene with the Ferrari, it has finally sold after being on the market for more than four years. The asking price for the home had been lowered several times during that time, but was finally sold in January for $1.25 million.

As Chicagonow pointed out, sometimes homes like this which have a story behind them can be difficult to properly price. They were able to finally find the sweet spot, however, and now someone owns a home that was part of movie history.
