As evident by her 700-plus closed transactions and numerous sales awards, Ivona Kutermankiewicz has established herself as an industry leader genuinely dedicated to making every experience a positive one for her clients.

“Having moved to the U.S. from my native Poland when I was 23, I have what some call an immigrant mindset,” she says. “I look for opportunities, anticipate crises and have a passionate, entrepreneurial attitude.”

Kutermankiewicz has carried this no-nonsense approach for over two decades in the business. In 2013, she was recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as one of its top 1 percent of agents, and her team as one of the top 10 teams. She is also a recipient of a Five Star Agent Award for delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction three years in a row, from 2011 to 2013. She is a Certified Negotiation Expert, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and a lifetime member of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group’s prestigious President’s Club.

“My sister moved three times when her kids were very small,” she says. “Listening to her share intimate details of the homebuying and selling experience gave me an inside point of view for how incredibly stressful a home sale can be. That only fueled my fire to continually better myself and fulfill my role as a transaction facilitator who minimizes the impact of a home sale on a family. Now, no matter how annoyed they may be about putting their toys away, I even have clients’ children asking, ‘When is Ivona coming back?’”

Kutermankiewicz specializes in new construction, luxury homes and condos in some of Chicago’s top neighborhoods. Her genuine empathy and accommodating nature attract clients with a variety of backgrounds, objectives and lifestyles. She also credits her “rock star assistant,” Jaimie Dunn, as being a huge part of her success, empowering her to do the best job day in, day out.

“My first broker told me, ‘You will not do much business sitting at the office, waiting for the phone to ring,’” she says. “Times have changed with smartphones, but that saying is still true. You need to be out there making things happen instead of waiting for things to happen.”
